NLP, or Neurolinguistic Programming, has become popular both in the corporate environment and in interpersonal relationships. The technique can be used in companies as a way of training employees' skills, expanding negotiation skills and helping to overcome obstacles and resolve conflicts.

Another advantage of using Neuro-Linguistic Programming within corporations is its contribution to the emotional development of employees, providing the necessary resources for them to achieve their professional goals.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT NLP (NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING) IS

NLP is a set of techniques that teaches people to understand and modify their cognitive processes by identifying language patterns in order to question them and reflect on what needs to be resigned. Through NLP, it is possible to learn how we organize our feelings and emotions and how these are reflected in the way we see internal and external reality.

This tool was therefore given the name "programming", as NLP aims to review values and concepts , as well as the limiting beliefs of each individual. In this sense, the brain is reprogrammed so that it can positively impact our daily actions, as well as the execution of tasks and the constant search for improvements.

It is common that, from time to time, when faced with certain scenarios, we question our actions and decisions after they have happened. In these cases, we find ourselves asking ourselves what we could have done differently. Has this ever happened to you?

This is because each individual has their own history, values and motivations, which end up influencing their daily verbal and non-verbal actions.

This internal representation causes people to see and react differently when faced with the same situation. Knowing that these reactions are unconscious, NLP is used to create "mental programs" that facilitate numerous aspects of our lives.

HISTORY OF NLP

Neurolinguistic Programming is a science that is constantly evolving. Its creators, Richard Bandler and John Grinder, continue to improve the technique. At the beginning of their studies, these professionals were able to observe that some external patterns, such as specific behaviors and languages, help people to perform their activities with excellence, directly influencing the results .

Research has also shown that some internal patterns, such as beliefs and assumptions, are decisive in achieving success. In other words, behind each individual's behavior, there is a structure of thoughts that directly impact their actions and consequently the achievement of goals.

For these reasons, companies have already realized the importance of these techniques in the corporate environment and have encouraged their professionals to participate in courses and training in the area.

NLP IN NEGOTIATIONS

As previously mentioned, studying NLP allows you to better understand human behavior, which, in addition to promoting self-knowledge and expanding your development, will open doors for you to connect more easily with other people.

In a negotiation process, connecting with the other person is a fundamental step to make them more receptive to your ideas, and this connection is called rapport .

Another important aspect learned from NLP is the identification of other people's profiles, whether they are synesthetic, auditory or visual. This identification will impact your speech, making your communication more efficient.

Knowing yourself and others is something that comes with countless benefits. Improving your learning, your relationships with other people and even the way you deal with situations brings very positive consequences for your daily life in both your personal and professional life.
